Asia-Pacific Conference on Economic Dynamics
APCED 2013
Welcome to the Asia-Pacific Conference on Economic Dynamics 2013 (APCED 2013), hosted by University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, to be held for the first time in Ho Chi Minh City on 21-22 November 2013.
Over the last few decades, economists from all disciplines of the field have come to recognize the value of adopting dynamic rather than static models in order to capture and accurately represent the essential features of modern economic systems. Through improved understanding of dynamic process theory, stability analysis and dynamic optimization, researchers have shed new light on the evolution of a host of economic phenomena, from macroeconomic fluctuations to growth and development, asset and commodity prices, exchange rates, technological progress, exploitation of natural resources, climate change, consumer behavior and the dynamic interactions of competing firms. Despite the progress made to date, much work on these topics remains to be done.
The Asia-Pacific Conference on Economic Dynamics firstly held in 2013 will draw together leading researchers on economic dynamics from Asia and the region. It will provide a forum for theorists and applied researchers to exchange knowledge, ideas and new results in a broad range of topics covering all field of economics, in particular development economics, public economics, public policy, where dynamic analysis is applied.
