The Vietnam Economist Annual Meeting (VEAM) is pleased to announce our Call for Papers for the 17th Vietnam Economists Annual Meeting (VEAM 2026).
Following the success of our previous gatherings, we would like to invite you to submit your scholarly work for this upcoming event.
VEAM is an annual meeting organized for economists and social researchers around the world to present their scholarly works by six Vietnamese universities: University of Economics, Hue University, Foreign Trade University, University of Economics – The University of Da Nang, University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Thai Nguyen University of Economics & Business Administration, and University of Economics and Law in collaboration with Development and Policies Research Center.
VEAM 2026 is hosted by the University of Economics - Hue University, Foreign Trade University, Development and Policies Research Center, French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) in Hue province.

Important Dates
- All papers must be submitted in English by May 31, 2026 (5 pm Hanoi time).
- Decision on acceptance will be notified by June 15, 2026.
- Registration will open on June 16, 2026, and close on June 30, 2026.
ISVE Special Sessions: The International Society of Vietnam Economists will organize three special sessions at VEAM 2026:
- Behavioral Economics and Environment (Chair: Khanh-Nam Pham, UEH, Vietnam)
- Development Economics (Chair: Quang Thanh Le, University of Wollongong, Australia)
- Theoretical Economics (Chair: Ngoc-Sang Pham, EM Normandie, France).
Publication Opportunity: VEAM 2026 will feature an ISVE - VEAM Special Issue in the Revue d'Économie du Développement, which will include a selection of papers presented at the VEAM 2026. Other opportunities include Journal of International Economics and Management (Foreign Trade University), Review of Development Economics (John Wiley & Sons Ltd), and Journal of Asian Business and Economic Studies (Emerald Publishing).
